We had the best day on Bimini! This island really has a lot to offer, considering how small it is.

Right after breakfast, we took the boat to a shipwreck. There were a number of other boats there. We saw a ton of fish, jellyfish, and skates.

Next, we were on to Gun Cay. We spent most of the day there. The waters were very shallow, but the current was so fast. We laid out and did a little more snorkeling.

The water was so clear.

We saw a number of sharks and BIG rays today. Watching the sharks was so awesome. They move so fast, I loved it!

The black shadow behind me is a shark. Right after Dave took this picture, he said, ” Shark! ” and I jumped in after it. Only later did we realize he caught it in the picture.

In the early afternoon, we headed back in for a late afternoon lunch. We found a little shack on the water. It was so delicious, the waters calm, such a peaceful lunch.

We put a dollar with our name, the boat, and the year. The whole shack was covered in dollar bills from visitors.

Conch salad

Conch fritters

Fried snapper and fries. This was so, so, so, so good!!

We ate ourselves sick, so we jumped back on our golf cart and headed back to the resort for some beach time. The resort has a great beach with a bar. Dave ordered a beer for $9.00! Definitely BYOB!

We ended the day back at the rooftop pool and then had more sushi. It was definitely a full day!

Bimini roll, it was a top roll for us. Loved it.

Conch and Octopus Ceviche

Fried rice with Chinese sausage and bacon

Tomorrow we leave for Key West, which is about 170 miles by boat. We hope to be there by early afternoon.

We will see you next time from the southernmost tip of the USA!
